Mark Beeston (Past Speaker)

Mark Beeston is Managing Partner and Founder of Illuminate Financial Management LLP, the Financial Markets Technology focussed Venture Capital firm. Illuminate’s first fund includes companies such as CloudMargin, Privitar and DV01 and recently concluded the exit of Regtek to Bloomberg.

Previously Mark was CEO of ICAP's post trade risk and information business and sat on the ICAP Exco. Mark has been responsible for industry platforms such as Reset, ReMatch, TriOptima and the CVC Euclid Opportunities. Prior to ICAP he launched T-Zero (now ICELink) growing the company from start-up to exit and sat on the Exco of Creditex prior to its acquisition by ICE in 2008.

 Mark's career began as a fixed income derivatives trader at Deutsche Bank in 1992 where his roles included COO for Global Credit Trading and COO for Global Rates. Mark represented Deutsche Bank at board level across numerous industry companies and associations including ISDA, Markit, Swapswire, OTCDerivNet and DTCC DerivServ.
